Preparation of a Report about the status of environment in Cyprus 2020
The objective of the agreement was the preparation of a Report for the Status of Environment in Cyprus, according to Article 12(5) of the Public Access to Information Related to the Environment Law (No. 119(I)/2004) and the European Directive 2003/4/EC.
The evaluation of conservation status of environment in Cyprus was implemented in nine thematic sections (biodiversity and nature, water resources, use of land and substrate, sea and coastal environment, air pollution, climate change and energy, waste and resources, chemical and industrial pollution, environmental noise), covering all elements related to the environment and was performed through 27 specific indicators. The work was a cooperation among several partners and took into consideration all available and reliable data and expertise.
