Update of the National Biodiversity Strategy for Cyprus
The objective of the agreement was the preparation of a short report on regard to updated information about Cyprus’ biodiversity. The main targets of the National Biodiversity Strategy for Cyprus were to stop biodiversity loss, the conservation and protection of Cyprus’ ecosystems, the sustainable use of ecosystem services, the fair and equitable sharing of benefits of the use of genetic resources as well as the improvement of available knowledge and also the involvement of decision makers in all these.
