
Dr Parlalis has participated in many international and world conferences; moreover, he has published papers in peer reviewed journals and also many chapters in books. He is the editor of three books including the ones titled “Social Work Applications in Greece and Cyprus” (2011, in Greek) and “Moving from studies to work: How to improve your professional profile” (2021, in Greek). Furthermore, Dr Parlalis has been participated in middle and large-scale funded research projects as researcher, research team coordinator and project manager (e.g. “Food Waste, Circular Economy and Social Welfare – Save Our Food”), while he has been responsible for preparing socio-economic studies for a number of LIFE projects (LIFE IP Physis, iLIFE-Troodos, LIFE-Kedros and LIFE-FOR-BIRDS). His main research interests focus on the study of organisational changes, organisational development, de-institutionalisation, collaboration between health and social work services in the community, issues related to persons with disabilities and lastly social economy issues. Dr Parlalis speaks English fluently with excellent organizational, writing and presentation skills.
